Dear Sir,
I am david, working as receptionist in your esteemed company. I have been newly appointed as receptionist as part time worker. it's almost 6 weeks since my appointment and I would like to bring it your notice about some problems that I am facing in my work. As a student I am allowed to work only 20 hours a week as per my Visa. When I joined, the contract was for 4 hours per day from 6 to 10.15 PM (15 minutes break time) 5 days in a week i.e from Monday to Friday. pay scale was fixed as 15 pounds per hour and no wages for break or holiday. Recently I checked my bank account and I was surprised to find that may wages are not sufficiently paid as promised in the contract. Hence, I requested HR department for my pay slip and I found that I have been paid only 10 pounds per hour instead of 15 as promised in contract.
Kindly, address this issue immediately, as you know as a student my only income source is this job. Another issue which worries me is often team is asking me to work for extra time whenever there is late arrival of next employee. I find it difficult to manage this extra work as it's night 10.15PM and it is difficult to get a bus for my home. I hope you take immediate action to sort these issues.
Thanking you,
david.
