Fossil fuels are the main source of energy around the world. However, people are being encouraged to use alternative energy sources such as wind energy, solar energy and so on. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? Why?
Energy is mostly created by fossil fuels, further encouragement have given to produce energy by new sources in many nations. In my point of view, this is positive development, which is better for human.
To begin with, using fossil fuels have brought about several environmental problems. The first one is that the huge amount of carbon dioxide in the process of burning fossil fuels contributes to global warming, which would definitely lead to climate change. Another issue is that explained fossil fuels makes air pollution become serious, affecting people’s wealth directly as we breathe air every day. Thus, there will be a rising number of people who suffer from asthma or respiratory diseases.
However, several developed countries now promote the use of other natural resources such as solar and wind power. First of all, unlike fossil fuels, these energy sources are totally environmentally friendly, which allows people to produce electricity without any damages to the environment. More importantly, those resources are infinite while fossil fuels could become scare if the demand of energy consumption continues to go up. Finally, it is much more economical to generate green energy from renewable resources like wind and solar power, which could help to improve the economy .
