Advantage and Disadvantage of Raising Petrol Prices
Nowadays, it is true that the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problem is by increasing the petrol’s prices. In this essay I completely disagree with that statement because it gives more disadvantage rather than advantage for some reasons.
In the one hand the main demerit of this problem is that things can distract global economic especially in developing countries. It is because petrol’s prices are one of the factor that can influence global market beside gold and economic policies from developed countries like United Stated and China. For example in Indonesia, if the prices is raisen it can influence other prices be grow up too. Because petrol is a basic material that can be used in almost every sectors. As result it causes damaged economic conditions in particularly for poor people. There is no doubt that things is a best choice of the problem to be tackled.
On the other hand, the benefit of this case is that things is good for environment. It is due to that way can restrict million of people to acces petrol which the prices is too high. Taken as an example is if just only wealthy people can buy and many people moved to use public transportation that can be reduced using of petrol. Therefore it can be decline traffic and also the pollutions in to the air from cars emission. It is clear that the choice is a good for the situation.
From where I stand that the government shoukd been keept the balancing of petrol prices and improve to good qualities of public transport services which can make people move from private transport to public transport.
