You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:
• say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
• explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
• suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her
Dear Sara,
I hope you are fine, it seems about ages from the last time we were together at university. I am writing with regard to your previous email asking for my recommendation whether going to college or starting a new job.
To begin with, since I know your characterization and your attitude about life, also I follow your lifestyle from your picture in the Instagram, I tend to say getting job is a better choice for you. I think you will not adapt yourself with the college system, studying several hours each day and getting ready for final exams. In fact, you should stick on a specific curriculum and do lots of research and assignment. I am sure you would not be happy as you are an outgoing person who prefers to do adventures.
On the other hand, getting a new job provides you with a new set of challenges and opportunities. In my idea, joining to a new team is an appropriate opportunity to meet new people and learn some new skills which are able to broaden your mind. Also, it is a good chance to experience a professional environment and obtain some valuable expertise.
As I mentioned above, since I know your personality, I think you should apply for a job in which you be able to connect with other people. You are an extrovert person who likes to have interactions with others, so I believe you would be successful as a consultant or advisor in your field of study.
I hope my advice would be helpful, looking forward to hearing from you about your new job.
Take care and be in touch,
Best regards,
Yalda.
