The diagram illustrates the process of generating electricity by using water. As can be seen, the hydro-electric power generation consists of some steps in order to produce electricity. Looking at the diagram in more details, we can see that at the beginning the sun light falls on the sea which causes the water to evapourate forming clouds. Then the cloudes gather together causing rain which is collected in the reservoir. When the reservoir's water rises the dam opens and allows the water to pass through the opened valve. After that the water passes through the turbine ; some of the water is converted into electricity by the turbine and passes through the high voltage cables then to the transformer station. Next to the last the electricity passes through the underground cables then to the hospitals and schools. The extra water from the turbine goes to the pump and back again to the reservoir.
