The bar chart illustrates the fluctuation of 20-24 year old unemployment graduates in a European country between 2008 and 2009 by gender. Overall, men’s unemployment rate changed more considerably than that of women over this two year period.
In 2008, after witnessing a slight decline in January, the graduate unemployment of male and female remained stable at approximately 7.5% and 6% respectively from April to July. These rates then increased suddenly and sharply in October to more than 15% for men and above 10% for women.
