The bar chart illustrates the number of Japanese travelling to foreign countries and the line chart describes the percentage of visitors coming to Australia.
In the bar chart, the general overview is that the number of people visiting abroad mostly followed an upward trend. To specify, after a gradual rise from 5 million in 1985 to 11 million in 1990, the number of visitors travelling abroad witnessed a light dip to 10.5 million in 1991, before a slight climb to 12 million in 1993. At the end of the period, the figure went up dramatically to 15 million in 1995.
