The following bar graph represents the literacy levels of males and females in india in 2013, 2015, 2017. This graph also shows the difference in literacy level of both gender in rural and urban areas.
Overall, those who lives in urban areas have higher literacy rate as compared to people who lives in rural areas. Moreover, literacy level of mens in rural areas is significantly higher than women in rural areas.
With regard of rural areas, mans have higher level of literacy rate as compared to women. While, literacy rate of rural mens grew tremendously from 57.87% to 77.15% over the time span of 2013 to 2017 as compared to female whom literacy rate rose moderately from 30.6% to 57.93% over the same time period as mention earlier.
The literacy level of urban male have significantly higher than female living in urban areas. Although, literacy rate in urban male has been slowly grew from 81% tp 88% in time period of 2013 to 2017. While, literacy rate of city-dwelling female is dramatically grew from 65% to 79% over periods.
