The pie charts give information about the water used for industrial, agricultural, and domestic in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia.
It is noticeable that more water is used by industry than by agriculture and home in North America and Europe. By contrast, agriculture accounts for the vast of water used in the rest four areas.
In North America and Europe, the water consumption of industry constitute 48% and 53% of total water usage. Whereas, around 10% of water is used for industrial production in the rest four developing areas. The opposite data can be shown in water usage of agricultural category. This accounts for over 70% in South America, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia, in contrast, less than 40% of the figures in North America and Europe.
Residential water usage accounts of the least percentage comparing with industrial use and agricultural use. Around 15% of water is used at home in America and Europe, while less than 10% of it is consumed in Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia.
