Given is a flowchart illustrating the process to obtain a driving license in the States. Overall, it is apparent that the shortest way to get a license consists of seven steps with passing the eyesight test as the basic requirement for all candidates.
As can be seen, drivers first need to go to the driving license center in order to fill in the required forms. applicants then have to take the eyesight test, only those who clear this can proceed to the next steps after paying some required fees.
Subsequently, applicants sit the written exam and are allowed to have two retakes, before repaying the fee. those who successfully pass this test, either on their first, second or third attempt, are eligible to proceed to the road exam. Successful candidates will be granted the license while those who fail will have to go back to the fee-paying step.
