Overall, the consumption of energy in the us will be continue to grow and throughout the period fossil fuels play a vital role.23
Most of U.S energy needs have been met by Petrol and oil, with 35q used in 1980 while consumption of coal and natural gas was roughly 15q and 20q respectively. Despite some initial fluctuation, oil consumption rose gradually before reaching 40q in 2012. At this time, we can see many changes in coal and natural gas while both of them is similar now and provide 25q. The prediction show that oil will rise by 10q and coal by7q. By contrast, natural gas is predicted to remain at 2012 figure.89
In 1980, consumption of nuclear, solar/wind, and hydro power stood at 4q. A slightly increase was done in those sources for about a decade. Then atomic energy continue to growth whereas renewable and hydropower fell back to 1980 amount in 2005. Solar is anticipated to rise steadily and hydro is projected to remain stable. both of them provide under 6q in 2030.62
