The given chart illustrates the percentage of people between 25 and 34 years old who chose one of two ways of living, which are owning and renting an immobile, in the UK from 2004 to 2014.
Overall, it is an apparent fact that there was a noticeable downtrend in the number of immobile proprietors, whereas a clear uptrend was remarked in the rate of people who rented houses.
In details, in the first year of the research, it isevident that the highest number of house proprietors was at around 60%, which was three times as higher than the rate of renters, at exactly 20%.
According to the statistics, it is obvious that there was an opposite trend between both groups during the period 2004-2011. The percentage of house owners was decreasing slightly to 42%, in contrast, there was a rapid increase in the percentage of house renters with more than double rise.
In general, in the last researched year, there was the lowest rate of house possessed at aproximately 36% which is fewer than 48% of house rented, which is also the highest rate for over given period. Just only in 2011 and 2012, the unchanged percentages were experienced for both housing ways.
