The bar chart illustrates what percentage of British people who are 25-34 years old possesses either houses or not over the period 2004-2014.
Overall, it is an apparent fact that while the number of immobile proprietors is experienced a downtrend, whereas the uptrend is remarked for the figure of house renters.
It can be seen that the percentage of people who own their private houses in the first year was at around 60% which is the highest rate over the period of eleven years. However, in the next eight years, there was a slight decrease to approximately 41% in 2011 before a stable period to 2012. After that year onward, the trend continued to decrease at about 36% in 2014, which is the lowest rate in the period given.
In contrast, at the first year of the research, the proportion of immobile renters began with 20%, which was one third of the rate of house owners. However, there was a rapid increase during a period 2004- 2011, where a double number of renters was remarked. Finally, there was a modest increasing in 2014, at a rate around 48%, which was around 12% higher than the percentage of house owners.
