Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to convey my disappointment regarding the proposal to expand Lahore’s airport premises to enable most flights to land from diverse regions including North America, and Europe.
I have read about an article yesterday where I came to know that the provisional government is planning to increase the existing airport capacity by constructing new runways and passenger lounge to increase the flights' traffic at the maximum level.
Being a resident of the Defense society which is located next to the airport boundary. I would oppose to this plan as we are already facing a couple of problems due to noise pollution, and traffic conjunction in the area. Besides, there are chances that the authorities could ask the nearby residents to vacate their houses because of the expansion of the airport boundaries. That’s why I am not in favor of this plan to execute at all as it will double our problems.
I would appreciate it if you could give a space of this article in your newspaper, so the residence of my society could get a chance to read it and raise their voices to stop the plan to carry out.
