Multiple graphs
There are two charts, the first chart depicts the number of male and female adult studying in the four distinct courses in 2009. The second chart illustrates the proportion of the participant's ages in these courses
Generally, it is noticable that language was the most popular course by woman, while majority men preferred to study painting. We can also see that the elderly, 50 or over, accounted for the largest proportion of adults going to courses.
Regarding to the first paragraph, many women joined to the language course at 40 people, which was twofold number of male participants. Painting and drama were dominated by female learners, in which the number of female in painting courses was five people much higher than male participants, at only 25 people, while drama showed that female was twofold of male students at 10 people. Furthermore, sculpture was only 10 and 5 participants, in male and female respectively.
In the term of the percentages of aged participants, elderly people who were 50 or over was 42%, while the adult under 20 was only one in twenty. The number of 20-29 aged participants joining the courses was a minority, at 11%, while the number of adults who were between 30-39 aged was over than a fifth, which are counted together at only 26%. It was same proportion as the participants in 40-49 aged.
