Claim: It is no longer possible for a society to regard any living man or woman as a hero.
Reason: The reputation of anyone who is subjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim and the reason on which that claim is based.
Although the media scrutiny leaves nothing secret, the heroes are still heroes. After all, who is perfect, having admitted no sin during his long life? The requirement to be totally perfect, having no defect in one's charactors and no wrongdoing even faults, is no longer important, which was assumed in our ancient society. Today, the most crucial element is the quy possessing the character we admire.
First, no one is perfect, so are our beloved heros. In the past, heroes are people who encourage others to follow them, with pure heart, brave, and courageous. They must have something people love, adorn, or even deeply long to have. Moreover, they must be faultless, with innocent, noble spirits, possibly not even daring to harm a small animal. However, these kinds or requirement is no longer reachable, under the scrutiny of the media, checking with every known principle, reviewing with each point of view, and trying to find some flaws in them. How could someone stay clean?
However, even under these kinds of analysing, there is still some heroes today. Someone adhering to their principles even under the slander of the majority, someone accomplishing great achievement, benefiting a lot of people, with the suspicion of doing something illegal, and someone who really commit some crime while struggling to correct and even compensate the harm and the guilt they have done are belonging to the catagory. For their brave, their heart for atonement, and their noble heart in some sense, they are today's heroes.
Moreover, to be heros, all they need to have is some character we all admire. The pluck to encounter or even challange something accepted widely but wrong is worth praise, so are the ones who possess it, reguardless of other faults they may allow such as speak ill of someone, or using scornful language. The bravery to correct their evil doing and try to compensate the loss, healing the injury is extolled, so are the ones who keep it, regardless of the horrible crime they might do. They are all heroes today, with some wrongdone.
In the end, it is the character we admire that makes someone hero, not the sinless nature, as a quxotic dream or whimsy image. The scrutiny of media is, though somewhat harmful, not effective in allowing no one to be a hero. Instead, those detailed examinesm and trials let the heros more precious and worthy of commendation.
