The table depicts the information about national expenditure on various items in five countries, namely, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002. The data has been calibrated in percentage.
It is quite apparent from the table that Turkey spent the most on food, drinks and tobacco with 32.14% , quite more than the Ireland's expenditure(28.91%) on same things followed by Spain, Italy and Sweden . In regard to clothing and footwear, Italy incurred the maximum expenditure(9.00%) , whereas other mentioned countries spent comparably as low as 6%.
There was an almost even distribution of expenditure on leisure and education among all the five countries as Turkey ,yet again, spent the highest percentage (4.35%) while Ireland spent almost half of that(2.21%). Spain was the most unlikely consumer with 1.98% , whereas the spendings on Italy and Sweden in the same field was about 3.20% .
