Part-time employment – application letter
You are looking for part-time employment.
Write a letter to an employment agency. In your letter
•introduce yourself
•explain what type of work you are looking for
•say what experience and skills you have
Dear Sir / Madam,
With this letter, I would like to introduce myself and explain what kind of work I am looking for. My name is Verhulst Heidi, I am 30 years of age and a single mother of two wonderful kids.
As you will be aware of, it is not so easy to find an employment that you can combine with two little children. Therefore, I am looking for a part-time employment, mainly during school hours.
Previously, I have worked for 8 years as a medical secretary in a private practice of three doctors. Six months ago, my husband died, and it was no longer possible to combine the full-time employment with the education of my kids, so I had to give my notice. I have been at home since, but I would really like to get back to work part- time.
I would therefore like you to consider me should your employment agency get any demand for a part-time medical secretary.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Verhulst Heidi
