TOEFL SPEAKING TASK 5: THE MAN WANTS TO GO TO A CONCERT BUT HE HAS A HISTORY PAPER TO WRITE
The man’s friend gave him a ticket for the concert tonight, and his favorite band would be performing on stage. However, the man has an unfinished history paper due tomorrow, so he needs to finish it tonight. He could have two solutions. The first solution is to go for the concert and finish the paper after it. If he choose this solution, he’ll need to stay up late tonight. Another solution is to focus on writing the paper and give the ticket to others. But the man says that this concert is held once in a very long period, and it would be a pity if he didn’t attend this concert. It is possible that if he missed this time, he’ll never be able to see his favorite band playing on stage.
Briefly describe the man’s problem and two possible solutions. Which solution would you recommend him?
