Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they respond to the specific concerns presented in the reading passage.
Recently, there has been a ton of debate as to send humankind to Mars. More specifically, in regards to the passage, the writer puts forth the idea that traveling to Mars is has several problems that makes it almost impossible. In the listening passage, the lecturer is quick to point out there are some serious flaws in the writer's claims. In fact, the professor possesses opposite opinion of the writer, and addresses, in detail, the trouble with each point made in the reading passage.
First and foremost, the author of the the reading states that the distance between Mars and Earth is too far that takes time more than 2 years. This condition makes it difficult to carry abundant supply, such as water, oxygen, and food, to the crew. However, the professor stand in firmopposition to this claim. In the listening, for example, the professor states that they can use hydraponics, planting on water, as a solution. She goes on to say that the technique not only helps a crew to supply their own food, but also recycles water, and refreshens air, which means produce oxygen.
One group of scholars, represented by the writer, think that non-gravitational environment cause severe health problems like decresed muscle mass and low bone density. Again, the speakee spesificall addresses this point when he states that there are some method to prevent suc situation. For example, exercising regularly, and taking additional vitamins prevents from mentioned certain health problems.
Finally, the author wraps his argument by positing that constant exposure to solar radiation is life-threathening to the human. Meanwhile, the lecturer takes issue with this claim by contending that astronauts do not meet solar radiaton all time, but occasionally. They can avoid the situation by placing solar radiation detector, which is affordable and light, on their ship.
