It is undeniable that in today’s complicated world, people use many new ways to share their moments with others. Some people like to upload their pictures and videos to social networking websites, while others prefer not to do so. I, personally, prefer not to create such records. The reasons why I feel this way are explored in the following essay.
To begin with, I believe that social media lacks privacy and exposes users to government and corporate intrusions. Each person leaves a data trail on the Internet. Every time someone creates a social media account, they provide personal information that can include their name, birthdate, geographic location and personal interests. In addition, companies collect data based on user’s behavior, meaning that they watch where, when and how their users interact with their platform. All of this data is stored and used by companies to better target advertising for their users. Sometimes, many companies share this data with a third-party, without the user’s contest, which is done in purpose of money or by accident. For example, a few years ago, I worked for a company that had built a famous website for celebrities to communicate with their fans. At that time, it was a successful project, but, due to a bug in their program hackers could rob their data. As s result of this, many celebrities lost their information and their personal chats was exposed to the public. This example clearly demonstrates how likely it is that one day the user’s data is abused by a third party.
Moreover, social media can entice people to waste time. Since, modern life has many complicated aspects, people should dedicate their precious time to what matters most in their lives. This is true especially for youngsters, who might lose the golden opportunity of entering a good university by spending their time in social media. For example, last week, I read an article in a major newspaper about the effects of social media on concentration. The research has indicated that when people are alerted to a new social media activity, such as a new facebook message, it takes them 1 hour on average to return to their original task. This example demonstrates how social media can steal our time on each day, even without us noticing it.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that social media is not beneficial for people. That is because these applications can not secure their user’s data and because they are such a waste of time.

Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:
para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.
So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:
reasons == advantages or
reasons == disadvantages
for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
