The bar graph provides information on how many minutes Australian people spent during seven years (from 2001 - 2008) in local, national, and international and mobile phone calls.
Overall, it becomes evident that during the period shown the majority of minutes is related to community calls. National and international calls and mobile calls come second and third.
As can be seen from the bar chart, the trajectory of regional calls has fluctuated a lot from 2001 to 2008. It started at 72 billion calls, then rocketed at 90 billion in 2005 and, by the end of 2008 returned at the same level which it had begun.
National and international phone calls have demonstrated a different trend by starting at 38 billion in 2001 and then, slowly and steadily increasing each year and reaching a 61 billion benchmark in 2008.
With regard to the remaining category of mobiles, the percentage of minutes has followed a rapid upward trend by rising from 2 billion to 46 billion from 2001 to 2008.
