In this day and age, the environment that is essential for human existence is being sabotaged by the enormous amount of trash that people throw away every day. There are two main reasons that contribute to this trend, which are population booming and people’s unawareness of their duty to protect the vulnerable environment but fortunately, few feasible solutions can be implemented to minimize the adverse effects on the environment.
It is irrefutable that the quantity of products produced for human uses increases dramatically due to the explosion in the population. As a result, more waste is discharged into the natural environment, which acutely affects the nature as well as people’s health. Moreover, most citizens are unaware of the urgency of the situation as well as the impacts of their throwing-away habit on the earth. It is generally perceived by most people littering is a normal act and this does not pose any threat to the nature, which is a major misunderstanding. Apparently the main contributor to the degradation of the environment is no one else but human themselves.
There are some possible measures to tackle this global issue, one of those is that the governments should limit the outburst of population as population explosion is one of the driving forces of this development. Furthermore, raising people’s awareness about various easy steps to protect the environment as well as apprising them of the consequences of releasing rubbish into the environment through the media or professionally organized campaigns is another effective measure for the governments to take.
In conclusion, the sudden rise in the population as well as people’s ignorance of their duty to preserve the nature are the prime causes of this issue; however, several steps can be taken to minimize the adverse impact of the situation. Therefore, in my opinion, not only the governments but also all citizens should be responsible for the protection of the earth we are residing in, not only for ourselves but also for the future generation.
