The professor provides some strong argument to make communal online encyclopedias more valuable in comparison to
traditional, printed encyclopedias and hence solve some problems that are illustrated within the article. The arguments used in
the lecture are given below.
Firstly, both communal online encyclopedias and traditional encyclopedias are not free from error. Although academic people
writes the printed encyclopedias, error or mistakes may occur there. This mistake can sustain for a long time as correction of
these mistake is very cumbersome and incorrigible for this encylopedias. On the other hand, the mistake can be easily corrected
in online encylopedias.
The articles of communal online encyclopedias can not be changed if the writes upload the article in read only mode. In some
cases, hackers or vandals may change the content of the article. Special editor of the online encyclopedias can detect the change
and make correction of it. This refutes what is stated in the passage about the fabrication, delete or corrupt information in this
encyclopedias.
One of the major problem in print encyclopedias is the shortage of space which is not a problem for the online encyclopedias.
Besides, variety and diversity can be obtained in communal online encyclopedia
