The diagram shows that the map of town of Garlsdon and the Garlsdon super market plan. Garlsdon is a town with 65000 population.
The first location S1 is placed outside the town which is sited between the main road and railway line system towards Hindon, lying 12 kms to the north west. As it is located in the country side, it would be easy to the people of Garlsdon and Hindon to travel by car for shopping. As it is also linked close to the railway line, shoppers from Cransdon ,which is located 25 kms away from the first site, can travel by train.
On contrary, a glance at the second site, S2, is located right a the town centre, which could be more helpful for local residents. Also, the store get the people more ,as ,road or rail ways are available from the surrounding towns including Bransdon. As the site is placed at the center of the town, traffic plays a key role and cars would be unable to park.
By the way of conclusion, neither site is appropriate for all the towns, but for customers in Hindon, Bransdon and Garlsdon, site which places out of the town, S1, offer more advantages.
