Ielts General (Writing Task 1) - Complaint Letter

Topic: You have bought a washing machine. First you found that the machine did not work properly, and you had it changed. Then you found that the new one seriously entangled the clothes.

Write to the manager of the company to complain about it.

You should write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write your address.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,
--------------------

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to complain about the problem that I am facing. In details, I first bought a washing machine coded H1 from your company on December 20th, 2020. After once-use, this product did not operate anymore. A technician of your company tried to fix it but unsuccessful, and you agreed to changed it for a new one. However, I have to ask you to change again as your products have left me troubles up to present.

Specifically, when the second replaced washing machine automatically span the water out, it span so madly that the clothes were seriously entangled and its movement as if there was an earthquake at my apartment that I had to unplug to stop it. In the instruction booklet, you have not mentioned this defect, neither have you told the user how to solve this problem. In addition, frequently, when I took the clothes out to dry, there were still unwashed, about which I am quite annoyed.

I hope you will resolve this trouble by changing a new one that does not entangle the clothes.

Yours faithfully,

Luc To
