The bar chart shows the percentage of young people in higher education in 2000, 2005 and 2010.
The bar chart gives information about the proportions of young people who attended higher education in four different countries during the period from 2000 to 2010.
Overall, there were general upward trends in the rates of students in Country A, C and D while the figure for Country B was unchanged. It is also clear that both Country A and D experienced a dramatic change over the given period.
Starting at 40%, the percentage of those in higher education in Country B remained almost the same, except for a slight decrease of just 1% in 2005. At the same time, the figure for Country C increased noticeably from around 41% in 2000 to over 45% in 2005 and then remained until the following five years.
In comparison, those who studied higher in Country A accounted for roughly 35% in the first period, which was lower than that of Country D, at about 45%. Afterwards, the percentages of these two countries saw a continual rise to approximately 56% for the former and 60% for the latter.
