The given charts illustrate the quantity of girls per 100 boys in three sections: Primary education, Secondary education and Tertiary education in Developing and Developed countries in two years 1990 and 2000.
Overall, although there was a tendency toward more girls acquiring education, developing countries displayed a more substantial increase. Also worth noticing is the dominance of developed countries in the number of girls compared to developing ones
In term of Primary education, Developing countries had an increase of 4 from 83 in 1990 to 87 in 2000 whereas, in Developed countries, the rise was just 3 from 93 in 1990 to 96 in 2000. Similarly, in the secondary education category, in comparison to developing countries which witnessed a substantial increase with 10 students, those in developed countries rose just 1 student which was 1/10 of those in the other. Last but not least is Tertiary education with an increase in developing countries was 9 following by 7 in developed countries.
Despite showing more considerable growth, developed countries always overshadowed the other with the figures in Primary and Secondary education were nearly 100 which was the target of all levels of educations and the number in Tertiary education was exceed the limit with 105 and 112 in 1990 and 2000 respectively.
