The bar chart illustrates the enrolments of girls per 100 boys in different educational levels in developing and developed countries recorded in 1990 and 1998.
Overall, the number of girls per 100 boys fluctuated throughout the whole survey. Besides, it is obvious that in developed countries, girls were more allowed to get into educational institutions than those were in developing ones.
In 1990, among developing countries, primary school accounted for the highest figure, with around 83 girls enrolled. The figure declined to 72 in the secondary level of study and continued to decrease to 66 in tertiary education. By contrast, there was a slight rise among developed countries’ girls’ enrolments. Starting at properly 95 girl students at primary education, the figure increased to 98 and finally peaked at approximately 105 students in tertiary level.
In 1998, all the former figures recorded to slightly surge. In developing nations, the highest number was 87 girls enrolled in primary education and the lowest was 66 while they were 66 in tertiary level and 83 respectively, In developed countries, the lowest number was 96 students enrolled in primary schools and the highest one were 112 compared to those were 95 and 102.
