It can be observed clearly from the pie chart that oil is the main source of energy. It was at a proportion of 42% in 1980 but decreased gradually to amount to 33% in 1990. Following this, is the natural gas which has almost the same proportion in 1980 and 1990. There proportions are 26% and 25% respectively. The percentage of coal which is at 22% in 1980 rose significantly in 1990 to 27%. Hydroelectric power and nuclear power are the least source of energy in the USA during the given period. The percentage of energy sourced by hydroelectric power remains constant at both years while that of nuclear power which was at 5% in 1980 was doubled in the 1990.
All in all, the are five energy source in the USA working independently to achieve their various aims.
