The bar chart illustrates the percentage of men and women who had regular physical activity, in Australia in 2010, in terms of their age group.
The figures show that almost half of people exercised regularly, while women are shown to be more physically active than men.
According to the diagram, the proportion of males is more, by roughly 5 percent, at the youngest studied age, which is 15 to 24 years. Whereas, for the rest of the age groups the greater percentage belongs to females. Except for the oldest group, where two genders seem to have approximately the same activity rates, at about 47 percent.
On the other hand, the overall trends for exercising also represent different patterns for each sex, so that for men there is a decrement from 52.8 to 39.5 percent, until the age 44, following by an increment to 47.6 at the age of 65 and over. Besides, women's physical activity rose from 47.7 to 53 percent as they grew older, and finally reduces by 4 percent at about 65 years old.
