Thanks to the innovation of high technology, computers are more and more useful in education field. It is believed that this issue can bring negative effects, yet I would argue that it is better to take advantages of the computers at schools or in the universities. Computers is a convenient machine that allows us to study in a new way, though this device might ruin students’ communication.
To begin with, a lot of interesting methods of teaching and studying could be used with computers. It is not only helps the lecture be more lively with images, sounds and videos, but also provide a productive search engine. Students can look up information within seconds, for example, and search for relevant lessons to review the lecture after classes. At many schools these days, presentation is one of the most important assignments that allow learners to conceive, create their own works with many provided tools on PCs or laptops. Consequently, computers bring much of benefits to student and teachers, which makes it become an important role in schooling.
On the other hand, using computer as a method of studying may limit communication skill, which is considered a key to success. Less time spent for face to face conversations might signal the risk of lacking interaction between people. For instance, all school tasks are announced by email, and learners just have to turn in assignment online. Moreover meetings could be replaced by online chatting, or discussing via email or messages. These problems would lead to the reduction of chance in communicating, or in daily talks as well.
In conclusion, though utilizing computers in education has both benefits and drawbacks, it is still a positive trend when more and more people using laptops or PCs because of its convenience of place and time.
