The bar chart compares the proportion of Internet users in 5 different European countries in the year 2000, while the pie chart illustrates the average money each person spends on buying online stuff.
It is clear that Sweden and the UK had the greatest percentages of people who had access to the Internet and also accounted for the largest amount of online shopping expenditure in 2020. By contrast, Spain ranked the lowest position in terms of both the ratio of Internet users and the expense for Internet shopping.
Looking at the bar chart in more detail, the Internet users in Sweden made up for 35% of its population, followed by the U.K with 20%. Conversely, merely 5% of the Spain citizens had access to the Internet, which is half of the figure for France (10%) and one-third of the ratio of Germany (15%).
Regarding the online shopping expenditure, British people spent the biggest budget for purchasing online stuff at 87 euros, a slightly lower number of 76 euros was recorded as the expense of Swedish. Germany and France allocated similar amounts of money for Internet shopping, with 57 and 46 euros respectively, while only 10 euros were being paid by Spain’s people for purpose of shopping online.
