Despite improvements in vehicle technology, there are still a large number of road accidents. Explain some of the causes of these accidents and suggest some measures that could be taken to address the problem.

These days, increasing road accidents is a common concern across the globe even after improvements in infrastructure and transport facilities. This essay will shed light on the potential causes of accidents along with some viable solutions to deal with this problem.

To begin with, there are several reasons behind this phenomenon. Primarily, due to the rapid growth of urbanisation, more and more complexes and bridges are constructed, resulting in narrowing down roads. On the other hand, the population is soaring day by day, and hence, congestion on the roads has become a huge problem. Besides, other factors such as improvements in sophisticated technology have contributed to this notion. To exemplify, as per the studies, many people tend to use mobile phones while driving without considering the possible outcomes of their reckless steps. Lastly, drunk driving is also a cause behind road accidents. Hence, these are the aspects which have grave repercussions.

However, there are some options which can be incorporated to reduce the fatality rate. Firstly, the government should impose stringent laws by restricting usage of smartphones as well as alcohol and declare prisonment punishment against that. Additionally, constructing and widening roadways can be helpful to deal with traffic jams. Furthermore, it should be each and every individual's responsibility to support administration by following regulations honestly. To demonstrate, people tend to break the rules by talking on the phone and simply pay the fines when they are caught. Therefore, these solutions can be successfully implemented with equal support from the government as well as citizens.

To conclude, it is impossible to eradicate road accidents; however, some measures can be taken from bureaucrats and every individual to reduce the possible impacts and road conflicts by understanding their responsibilities.
