The maps depict the modifications to the ground floor of an art gallery from 2015 to the present day. Overall, the ground floor underwent a complete transformation with various facilities replaced, relocated or added.
In 2015, the main entrance was placed in the south of the gallery. Once visitors entered the building, they could see a reception desk in the middle of the entrance halls with the staircase located in the north of the receptionist. There were four exhibition rooms in total, namely exhibition room 1 to 3 in the east side of the building, while the exhibition room 4, the largest one, took up the southwest corner adjacent to the gallery office on its north. A cafe, where souvenirs were sold, could be found in the northwest corner.
At present, only the exhibition room 1 to 3 remain intact. It is conspicuous that the reception desk has been moved slightly to its south with the central spot in the building. A novel lift has been installed next to the right of the stair and the left of exhibition room 3. The most noticeable change belongs to the exhibition room 4, which has been halved to make space for the children’s area in the southwest corner while its remaining area is used for temporary exhibition. In addition, the gallery room has been relocated to where the cafe was to free up space for a vending machine and entrance stalls.
