TPO.10
The article states that there is more evidence about pollution to decrease sea otter population than hunting by predators and provide three reasons of support. However, the professor in the lecture casts serious doubt on the passage by using a number of points that are contrary to each of the author's reasons.
First of all, the reading claims that we can find industrial chemical resources by testing the water that has been increased. Therefore, it is a concrete reason to diminish sea otters. The professor refutes this point by saying that we made a lot of investigation. He states that we had not found any evidence to proof this idea. In fact, if water were polluted, it could kill other sea animals.
On another hand, the article posits that we find that pollution is response to sea otter decreasing, due to the fact that other sea mammals were affected as well. However, the professor describes that it is related to human hunters. According to the professor we can see a lot of hunters who have activated to hunting all of mammals.
Finally, the reading makes it clear that we have confronted with an uneven pattern of otter decline and therefore, it is coordinates with the pollution. The professor opposes this point by explaining that we can see in other sea mammals a great decrease. We can also learn that scientists can see hardly other sea mammals in shallow places, but sea otter had not decreased in those places.
