The charts below show the average percentage in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much in the USA
The pie charts highlight data about the medium proportion of different sorts of nutrients consumed at the typical meals, namely breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks of the population in the USA, which is not good for their own health if they eat in a massive quantity.
Overall, what stands out from the charts is that dinner holds the lion share among those supplements, except added sugar. Another interesting point is that breakfast has registered the lowest figure compared to the remaining meals.
Looking at the details, as regards sodium, the amount of it on average accounted for 14% of total one consumed at snacks, which was about three times as low as that of sodium at dinner, at 43%. Nevertheless, it could be easily seen that there was an contrast distribution of the percentage of added sugar. It averaged at 23% at dinner and at 42% at snacks. In addition, the proportion of these nutrients, sodium and added sugar, shared the nearly similar figure, at 14% and 16% in turn at breakfast, 29% and 19% respectively at lunch.
There was an even distribution of saturated fat among breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, at 16%, 26%, 37% and 21% in turn.
