The chart shows the percentage of car manufacturer’s total sales in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
The graph reveals the percentage of car sold in four regions by car producers from 2006 and 2010
Overall, the majority of car was purchased in Asia and Europe while the opposite was true in North American. Additionally, car sales in Asia and South America also experienced a significant change while the figures for the remaining regions remained relatively stable throughout the period
In 2006, 30% of the gross revenue was from Asia and Europe each. However, by 2010, the proportion of cars sold reached a peak at 50%, the highest of all, while car turn-over in Europe slightly rose to 35% before dropping back to 30% in 2010
In South America, the figure showed a declining trend over the recorded period, plummeting from its peak at 29% in 2006 to only 9% in the last year. Similarly, car manufacturers witnessed a steady decrease in the percentage of car purchased in North America from 11% to 6% between 2006 and 2009. However, there was a recovery to about 11% in 2010
