- Explain why you are unable to come.
- Invite them to visit you after the wedding.
- Describe some activities you can do together when they come to visit.
Dear James and Diana,
First of all I would like to congratulate both of you on your wedding next month. I am really blissful for both of you. Moreover, many thanks for sending the invitation to me and my family to attend the auspicious day of your life.
Unfortunately, as I need to attend a business trip for my upcoming project, we will not be able to attend your wedding. This is the main reason, I am writing to you now.
On this occasion, I would like to invite both of you to my town after your wedding. I know, both of you would be busy enough, but I assure that there are plenty of activities which you can plan here and enjoy with us. Firstly, I know you always wanted to do water sport activities such as scuba diving and paragliding, however, never get a chance to do so. Secondly, we can plan an outing on the Cheung Chau island here, which is one of the star attractions of my town.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Bye for now.
Take care and once again congratulation.
Regards
Wilson
