The table reveals distribution of forest land in over the world by presenting the square of forested land in unit of millions of hectares in six continents, Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America in 1990, 2000 and 2005.
Overall, most of forested land in the world was tendency to decrease, whereas It was Europe that was the only country increased in the forested land.
From 1990 to 2000, The most dramatic change was South America, where the square of wooded land fell from 946 millions of hectares to 904 millions of hectares. The smallest change was seen in Oceania, where the number decreased only from 199 to 198. The only country where there was an increase in the number was Europe, from 989 to 998. During the following the 5-year period, Asia was the most increase country in the number in over six continents from 570 to 584; Howerver, Europe was ranked first in the square of forested land that up to 1001 millions of hectares.
The only continents in which there was no change in the number was North America. Oceania was the smallest change which decrease from 198 to 197.
