The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The depicted maps illustrate the current and future developmental plans of Islip town center. It can be lucidly observed that a plethora of changes like the development of accessible amenities and the planning of dual carriageways are expected in the near future.
The main road will be constructed as a dual carriageway in the north and south direction instead of its central location between the shops and will be replaced by a pedestrian road. Also, the dual lane of shops will be converted to a single lane as the shops in northern directions will be replaced by new construction and developments like a bus station, shopping center, and parking divisions.
Additionally, areas of new housing will be devised and the park is expected to be smaller in size than before. On contrary to this, the location of the school and the housing are expected to remain exactly the same in the upcoming developmental planning of the Islip town center.
Overall, it can be worth mentioning that a lot of changes, new constructions, and relocations will be happening in future developmental planning.
