the first chart below shows the number of British visitors to the us and American visitors to the UK from 2011 to 2015,the second chart shows the amount spent by the those visitors in that period.
the first bar chart illustrates the total of UK tourists to the united state and conversely between 2011 and 2015; accordingly, the second one indicates the figures of the expenses payable which passengers of the countries need when they travel each other. Overall, it is clear that the majority of UK visitors usually went for us and spent an amount of money were larger than the US visitors in the during given timescale.
according to the first graph, while tourism to the us dipped minimally year by year in the first 3 years, and the figure was hit a low of under 3 millions; however, it raised over the following 2 years, peaking at 3,5 million in 2015. besides that, the amount if the us tourists to the UK were quite fluctuate over the first 3 years period, but it still remained at least 2,5 millions in 2013. next, a similar pattern was seen from 2013 to 2014 like the total of the UK visitors to us that the data had an upward trend and accounted for the lion's share ( under 3,5 millions); in addition, the US tourists had still lower than the UK tourists at the end of the period.
in the second graph, it's apparent that the influx of currency of the UK people, which spent for travelling was higher than the US people. for the UK tourists, growth was slow until 2013, when it started to increase dramatically, reaching to peak at near 6 billions in 2015, whilst the figures of the US people for the problem did not fluctuate over the first 3 years of the given timescale, before it had grown sharply in two years(2014 and 2015) with 4 billions in 2015
