The article state about using Ethanol fuel instead of traditional fuels that can causes a great majority of disadvantages. The article provides three reasons of support. However, the professor in the lecture casts serious doubt on the passage by using a number of points that are contrary to each of the author's reasons.

First of all, the reading claims that Ethanol cannot solve the global warming problem due to the fact that it creates carbon dioxide like gasoline. In contrast, the professor refutes this point by saying that it does not add global warming. He mentions that Ethanol can reduce carbon dioxide because growing plants generally absorb carbon dioxide. As a result, it removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and is very beneficial.

On another hand, the article posits that producing Ethanol can cause tension on other plants which have used for other fuels. However, the teacher describes that it is not a problem because Ethanol process uses solids for creating fuels. According to the professor solids are not used by animals. All in all, it cannot harm habitat especially towards animals.

Finally, the article makes it clear that Ethanol do not have capability to compete with gasoline. On the other hand, the lecturer opposes this point by explaining that Ethanol is sometimes cheap. We also learn that increase in produce of Ethanol can lead to reduce the price. In fact, three times greater producing, will cause cost of Ethanol would drop by forty percent.
