Overall, while Florida had the oldest population Utah was on the contrary. Although the salary per capita in California was the highest, this state also registered the biggest percentage of population under the poverty line
The country that had the youngest population was Utah, with 28% of its population being people under 18. Meanwhile, the rates of young people in California and Florida were almost the same, with 17% and 16%, respectively. However, there was about one-fourth of elders over 60 in Florida, accounting for the largest proportion among the three states. In addition, the old population in Utah and California was relatively low with 8% and 13%, respectively
In California, an average person was expected to generate about 23,000$ average, the highest among all three states. People living in Florida earned a comparable figure with 32,000$ per capita, higher than that of Utah 5,000$. Although residents living in California had the highest annual income per person, it had the highest rate of the population living below the poverty line, with 16%, nearly doubling that of Utah with the lowest rate of 9%.
