The given charts compare the way each Australian family consume energy and the amount of greenhouse gas released to atmosphere due to their usages.
Overall, in Australia, people tend to consume energy for heating and do not use much on cooling. It is noticeable that water heating account for the most percentage of greenhouse gas emission, while cooling made up the least.
The most amount of enery is spent on house heating (42%), while only about 15% of greenhouse gas results from it. The proportion of power used for water heating is slightly lower (30%), and this leads to 32% gas produced.
Turning to the other factors, we can see that Australian use about 7% of power for refrigeration, while 14% gas emission comes from this usage. Energy for lightning and cooling only take up a negligible amout (4% and 2% respectively), therefore, the percentage of greenhouse gas emitted is only 3% (from cooling) and 8% (from lightning). By contrast, for other applications, people use a large amount of energy (15%) and this usage releases 28% greenhouse gas to atmosphere.
