The first pie chart illustrates the energy consumption in a typical household in Australia whereas the second one depicts the released quantity of greenhouse gas resulting from using this energy.
At first glance, most kinds of energy have higher percentage of emissions than being used. However, there are close spaces between the number of each two patterns.
In the first chart, heating accounts for the largest proportion for 42%, followed by the water heating figure which is 30%. While other appliances figure keeps a quarter percent, the others such as refrigeration, cooling and lighting have negligible amount.
On the other hand, the water heating outnumbers the heating figure to be responsible for producing highest emission quantity, accounts for 32% while heating percentage is only nearly half of it. Otherwise, other energy greenhouse gas discharges mostly double their uses.
In summary, most kinds of energy emit greenhouse gas then being consumed apart from heating.
