The chart illustrates the average household spending on different areas (Housing, Transport, food, health care, and other goods and services in two nations ( Malaysia, and Japan) over the examined period.
It can be clearly seen that the proportion of household expenditures for housing in Malaysia and Japan was the highest while the opposite was true for health care was the lowest in the two countries.
As can be seen in the chart, the health care rates of Japan, which is spent at 6 percent, compared to Malaysia were only just 3 percent. spending on the transport of Malaysia at just 10 percent, half of that on Japan.
Looking at the chart in more detail, Malaysians spent household expenditure on housing reached 34 percent. However, the figure for Japan at just 21 percent. The expenditures for other goods and services of Japan are more than that of Malaysia, with 29 percent and 26 percent respectively.
