The given bar chart compares the spending on four different kinds of digital games in the worldwide over 2-years period.
Overall, while console games witnessed a downward trend, other virtual games has increased from 2000 to 2006.
Looking at the information in more detail, the Handheld games were downloaded and ranked first in the global sales of digital games, growing up initially from around 12 billions and eventually peaked at 18 billions in 2006. Standing at the second place in popularity is online games with over 6 billions even though it was not attractive to any users in 2000. Sharing the same pattern with online games, mobile phone games started to increase to approximately 7 billions within the same period.
In contrast, the console games reached a great of the sales in 2000 at 6 billions. However, having been replaced by many types of games, this game continuously decreased to around 3 billions compared to the money users paid out in the beginning.
