The given line chart illustrates how many visitors of a Caribbean island within the 7-year period from 2010.
Overall, due to the number’s rises of tourists staying on both cruise ships and island, total figures of people vising Caribbean island increased dramatically during the given time. Even though, people preferred accommodations on island, the number of ships’ tourists reached the highest point at the end of period.
In 2010, there was only about 0.25 million visitors staying on ships which was a third of those being on islands. From 2010 to 2012, the data of visitors on island reached bottom, at roughly 0.7 million visitors in 2011 whilst those on ships witnessed a fluctuation under 0.5 million visitors.
In 2017, total value of people visiting a Caribbean island peaked at 3.5 million visitors which was mainly caused sharp surge of that staying on cruises to 2 million visitors. Obviously, the number of visitors staying on cruise rocketed significantly from 2012 to 2017, by approximately 1.75 million visitors. On the contrary, that of those grew slightly from about 1.3 to 1.5 million visitors in the similar period.
