These multimedia products are similar to real life scenes, which seems that users life is as colorful as they show.
On the other hand, the risks of social media still exist. Based on the Internet, interactions on social media are actually virtual in contrary to traditional face-to-face communication. People chat, share and see each other through small screens, paying more attention on online comments and likes. It is the pleasure of gaining recognitions online that makes sense to people.
Sometimes over relying on displaying leads to the lack of experiencing. Many people take photos initially when visiting a popular restaurant, in order to send them on social media. The time lost will cause the food to be less delicious regardless of how nice it may seem in the online pictures. The purpose of going becomes displaying instead of eating.
What’s more, it is easy to find the access to pacific individual through social media which connects many people fast and widely, increasing the risk of privacy leaking. Social media records much personal data of the users and can’t make sure it won’t be disclosed to someone else. Every picture shown on the Internet can reveal where the user is and who the user is with.
Also, social media can even put people in danger. Due to the large number of friends and strangers, users are difficult to manage their accounts well. Sometimes even users themselves have no idea who is watching their social media. Therefore, people with unspoken purpose will be given the chance to illegal things, let along some crimes deprives from social media nowadays.
To conclude, we appreciate the benefits of social media the same as focusing on the real life. We can’t judge how our interpersonal relationship affected by the social media, but we can have a comprehensive view on how the social media influence us.
